Any agency can launch an innovative new business to the media, but the challenge is to maintain interest and regular media coverage. With little in the way of funding for ‘classic’ tools such as research, Funding Circle approached Brazil for help. We got back to basics, helped define a strategic communications platform and developed bespoke content and editorial to target the personal finance media.
A bigger appeal
By utilising internal data, as well as exploiting current affairs and emerging market developments, Brazil generated more than 100 pieces of coverage in six months. With campaigns spanning business and personal finance, significant profiles were gained in leading UK publications such as the Daily Mail, The Independent, The Times, The Mirror, Financial Times, MSN, Yahoo! and thisismoney. The three-fold increases in website traffic and customer sign ups were directly attributed to this coverage. Clearly, with a solid strategy and a deep understanding of the business, you don’t need expensive research to generate effective media coverage.
